Are HIV and liver enzyme tests covered by health insurance?

I want to test for HIV, uric acid in the blood and liver enzyme GGT. Are they covered by health insurance? - Mr. Pham Huy Bang ( Hanoi ).

Hanoi Social Insurance replied:

HIV, GGT, and uric acid tests are all listed by the Ministry of Health .

Pursuant to Clause 3 of Circular 35/2026/TT-BYT on conditions for payment of technical services, technical services are paid when the medical examination and treatment facility performs professional procedures and the price of medical examination and treatment services is approved by competent authorities.

Therefore, depending on each disease, the doctor will prescribe tests according to the professional procedures of that disease and if it is not in the cases that are not covered by health insurance according to Article 23 of the Law on Health Insurance, it will be covered by health insurance.
