Implemented from April 29, the Traffic Police Team to patrol, control, prevent and combat illegal racing and cheering for racing will be deployed from 9:00 p.m. the previous day to 2:30 a.m. the following day. The task force has increased public patrols and controls, combined with secret disguises, and focused on handling the two central districts of Phu Xuan and Thuan Hoa. In particular, focusing on areas such as: AEON Mall Hue Supermarket, Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Provincial Road 28, Hoang Quoc Viet and To Huu Streets, Nguyen Hoang Bridge area, Bui Thi Xuan Street, etc.
Notably, on the afternoon of April 30, at Km 7, Provincial Road 28 in Thuan An Ward (Thuan Hoa District), the working group discovered NHĐ (born in 2009, 10th grade student, residing in Thuan Hoa District) driving a motorbike swerving and weaving on the road, causing disorder and traffic safety. The working group drew up a record and temporarily detained the vehicle.
According to preliminary statistics, after 6 days of operation (April 29 - May 4), the Working Group for the Prevention of Illegal Racing and Cheering for Illegal Racing discovered and recorded 79 violations. Of these, 23 cases violated alcohol concentration, 16 cases did not wear helmets, 1 case tested positive for drugs, 34 cases did not have a driver's license, 10 cases were underage to drive...
