Xuan Son gives good news to coach Kim Sang Sik

On June 2, on the homepage of Nam Dinh Green Steel Club, a series of photos of striker Nguyen Xuan Son returning to the training ground with Nam Dinh Green Steel Club were posted. This is a very good sign for Nam Dinh Blue Steel Club as well as the Vietnam national team and coach Kim Sang Sik. Accordingly, if he continues to maintain such active recovery training, Xuan Son will likely be able to return to football next September.

Xuan Son previously suffered a serious injury in the second leg of the 2024 AFF Cup final. After surgery, the player has undergone many stages of rehabilitation. If his recovery is on schedule, Xuan Son will be able to play in the match against Nepal in the third round of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers in October 2025 and return in the early stages of the 2025-2026 V-League.

Last April, the naturalized Vietnamese striker also signed a contract extension with Nam Dinh Steel Club until 2031 (i.e. 6 years). He seems to have firmly committed to spending the rest of his career with the Thien Truong Stadium team.
