This is an activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), taking place on the afternoon of May 19.

The exhibition introduces 105 works including paintings, sculptures, sketches from the museum's collection including Battlefield Sketches, Memories of Firestorms, Silent Moments and creations Today's Perspectives by painters and sculptors of the Liberation Fine Arts Tradition Club. The combination of works from the Museum of Fine Arts' collection and creations by artists who lived through the war is the special feature of this topic, thereby creating a seamless flow of memories, evoking a space for contemplation about a time of fire and smoke and the memories that still reverberate.

On this occasion, many touching stories were told through the memories of sculptor Nguyen Quoc Thang, painter Hong Xuan, and painter Quach Phong. Painter Quach Phong always remembers the days of studying fine arts in the North, looking at the groups eagerly going to B with great excitement. "We volunteered to go to the South. At that time, everyone was very happy to draw soldiers, because in war, we lived today and died tomorrow, so our colleagues all wanted to record something, even if it was just a sketch portrait of a soldier." Painter Hong Xuan said that at that time, she admired painter Trang Phuong and his sketches, so she often followed him to draw and learn from his experience.

The event is an opportunity to pay tribute to the contributions of generations who sacrificed for the independence, freedom and peace of the country, and to honor artists who lived, fought and created in the harsh conditions of war.
