On October 19, 2024, at the JW Marriott Hotel Jakarta, Indonesia, the 2024 Asia-International Economic Forum was successfully held. Speaking at the Forum, Mr. Pham The Cuong - Vietnam Trade Counselor in Indonesia - congratulated the Vietnamese business delegation and wished that businesses would develop more strongly; invest and export to the Indonesian market - the 4th most populous market in the world and the most populous in the ASEAN region.
Within the framework of the Forum, the representative of the Investment Promotion Board for Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific (Indonesian Ministry of Investment) shared a presentation on the topic: Investment environment, opportunities and policies in Indonesia to all Vietnamese and international enterprises. Opening up huge opportunities for Vietnamese and international enterprises to penetrate the large Indonesian market.
Also at the Forum, Mr. Dato' Dr Fauzi Johan - Secretary General of the ASEAN Retail and Franchise Federation - commented that Indonesia's strategic location, combined with strong economic policies and incentives from the Government for foreign investment, makes it an attractive destination.
Key sectors such as digital technology, e-commerce, infrastructure development and consumer goods are growing strongly. The rise of the digital economy in Indonesia is particularly notable. With a young and tech-savvy population, the digital market is expanding rapidly, creating opportunities for Vietnamese companies in areas such as fintech, e-commerce platforms and IT services.

Within the framework of the Forum, there was a ceremony to award the appointment decision to Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - Vice President of the Asian Business Development Research Center and a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Asian Business Development Research Center, the Business Association of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Vietnam Business Association in Indonesia on supporting businesses of Vietnam and Indonesia to seek opportunities and promote investment in the Vietnamese and Indonesian markets.

Also at the Forum, a ceremony was held to honor 61 Vietnamese and international enterprises and businessmen who achieved the titles: Asia's Leading Prestigious Brand; Global Excellent Brand; 10 businessmen were honored as Asian Outstanding Leaders, Global Outstanding Leaders and more than 20 products and services were honored in the category of international quality products and services.
The 2024 Asia-International Economic Forum is held in rotation in countries around the world by the Asian Enterprise Development Research Center in collaboration with domestic and international organizations to evaluate and select businesses, entrepreneurs, products, and quality services that meet international criteria. 2024 is the third year it is held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
