This is a request to serve travel needs on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
According to the plan, from April 20 to May 5, many national-level activities will take place in Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate this important historical event. To meet the travel needs of Party and State leaders, delegates and people, the Civil Aviation Authority has requested airlines to adjust their plans to increase flights to and from Ho Chi Minh City, especially the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route.
In addition, airlines are encouraged to increase flights during off-peak hours and at night to optimize operational efficiency and reduce peak hour pressure.
Previously, the Civil Aviation Authority also requested airlines to improve service quality, ensure safety and serve travel needs well during the April 30, May 1 holidays and the peak summer season in 2025.
Airlines need to closely monitor market demand, add appropriate flights, and coordinate closely with airports and service providers to ensure smooth operations.
Vietnamese airlines are expected to operate 7,536 domestic flights during the April 30-May 1 holidays (from April 25 to May 5, 2025), an increase of 21% over the same period last year; providing about 1.5 million seats, an increase of 22%.
Tan Son Nhat Airport's T3 passenger terminal has officially come into operation, contributing to reducing the load on the existing terminal area and increasing passenger service capacity during peak times.
