Isak has scored in eight consecutive matches for Newcastle across all competitions. To date, the 25-year-old Swedish striker has a total of 17 goals and 5 assists in 23 games for the St. James' Park club. In the Premier League alone, Isak has 15 goals and 5 assists, trailing only Erling Haaland (Man City, 16 goals) and Salah (Liverpool, 18 goals) in the top scorer list.
Isak's incredible form helped Newcastle achieve 9 consecutive wins in all competitions, including 6 consecutive wins in the Premier League, climbing from outside the top 10 to the top 4 in matchday 21, officially overtaking Chelsea (38 points compared to 37 points).
Newcastle are currently just 3 points behind third-placed Nottingham Forest and 5 points behind second-placed Arsenal, while trailing league leaders Liverpool by 9 points.
Manager Mikel Arteta admitted: "We will definitely be looking to strengthen our attack. Arsenal have lost two very important players; Bukayo Saka will be out for three months and Gabriel Jesus will be sidelined for a long time."
However, the chances of Arsenal buying Newcastle striker Isak for £150 million are extremely slim. Newcastle want to keep Isak long-term, as his current contract runs until June 2028, with an offer to extend it for another two years until June 2030.
