On the morning of April 19, in Hanoi , the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) solemnly held the Sao Khue Award 2025 ceremony, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Launched in late December 2024, after nearly 3 months of receiving applications, Sao Khue 2025 marked a new record in scale, attracting more than 500 nominations from leading technology enterprises across the country. Through 3 rigorous evaluation rounds (preliminary, presentation and final selection), the National Final Selection Council chaired by Dr. Nguyen Quan, former Minister of Science and Technology, along with 40 prestigious experts, selected 198 outstanding digital platforms, services and solutions to award the Sao Khue 2025 Award.
From the winning products, the General Council selects outstanding nominations in each field group to conduct the Sao Khue 5-star rating, to recognize products and services that are outstanding in technology, economic efficiency and social impact. This year, there are 25 nominations rated 5 stars, the year with the largest number of 5-star ratings in the history of the Sao Khue Awards to date.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized the importance of the field over the past 20 years, and also noted that Vietnam is entering a new era, with the foundation of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.
From analyzing the effects and impacts of some recent economic and political fluctuations in the world on Vietnam, Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong said that Vietnam and other countries in the world need to rethink, re-evaluate and re-question the importance of national self-reliance, self-reliance and autonomy.

Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong called on the Vietnamese IT and digital technology business community to continue promoting the spirit of innovation and creativity, upholding the spirit of social responsibility to continue creating digital technology products on par with the world, contributing to bringing Vietnam further on the global technology map.
“In the context of many changes, the belief in Vietnamese intelligence, Vietnamese will, and the aspiration to reach out of the Vietnamese digital technology business community is always a great source of motivation. I believe that, with the achievements that have been made, and the determination of the entire political system, Vietnamese digital technology businesses will continue to write new pages of history - not only shining in their own country, but also shining on the global technology map”, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong expressed.

According to statistics, IT enterprises have directly contributed to the proportion of Vietnam's digital economy at 18.3% of GDP in 2024 with a growth rate of 20%. This year's Sao Khue data shows that the revenue in 2024 of the 198 Award-winning nominees will reach nearly 48,000 billion VND (equivalent to nearly 2 billion USD), accounting for nearly 20% of the revenue of the entire software and IT services industry in Vietnam in 2024.
These solutions are directly contributing to digital transformation, smartening business processes and administrative procedures, solving problems of the Government and authorities at all levels in most key economic sectors. This not only brings convenience to domestic people and businesses but also serves the development of international markets.

At the event, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of VINASA, affirmed that Vietnamese technology enterprises do not only stop at the domestic market but also bring Vietnamese intelligence to the world. The AI, blockchain and cloud computing solutions honored today have been included in major contracts in demanding markets such as Japan, Europe, and North America.

“These achievements not only contribute to economic growth but also affirm Vietnam's position as a center for digital services and innovation in the region and globally. Resolution 57-NQ/TW is creating a huge driving force, the country is demanding stronger technological innovation efforts than ever before. I call on technology businesses to make more creative efforts and connect more closely to be ready to solve the country's big problems,” Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa emphasized.

The Sao Khue Award Organizing Committee hopes that, with the breakthrough policies of the Party and the Government, the Sao Khue Awards will continue to be a source of inspiration; attracting thousands of small and medium enterprises, creating a sustainable technology ecosystem, participating in solving the country's big problems, going international together; contributing to the formation of large enterprises, national enterprises, possessing core technologies, contributing to the continuous development of the economy in the coming period.
