Mitsubishi Xpander becomes the best-selling multi-purpose vehicle in Vietnam

With the resurgence of the Vietnamese automobile market, MPV models also benefited from increased sales in March 2023. In particular, Mitsubishi Xpander became one of the models with the strongest sales growth with 2,288 vehicles sold, an increase of 845 vehicles compared to February.

This result helps Mitsubishi Xpander become the best-selling model in the MPV segment in March 2023. At the same time, it also leads the entire market in the first quarter of 2023 with 4,444 vehicles sold, nearly double its competitor Veloz Cross (2,373 vehicles)... Thus, it can be seen that the MPV segment has clearly established its position: "sales king" Xpander and the rest. Xpander alone has carried the entire MPV segment for the past 5 years, continuously entering the top 10 best-selling vehicles in the market and leaving behind competitors in the same segment.

Since its launch in Vietnam (August 2018), this 7-seat MPV from Mitsubishi immediately created a fever in the whole market from that time and its appeal has not decreased until now.

Mitsubishi Xpander, an unfamiliar name, has done what many other models cannot do, which is to overthrow the No. 1 position in the MPV segment of Toyota Innova, which has existed for more than a decade in the Vietnamese market.

Even though this segment has many new competitors such as Toyota Veloz Cros, Avanza Premio, Hyundai Stargazer, Kia Carens... Xpander still shows its great attraction when it continuously enters the top best-selling cars in the market, far surpassing its competitors. Most recently in March, Xpander created a gap of up to a thousand cars compared to its competitors.

This shows that the appeal and prestige of Mitsubishi Xpander continues to be maintained year by year. Entering its 5th year in the Vietnamese market, this low-cost MPV model continues to prove its durability and fuel economy.

Upgraded mid-life in 2022, Mitsubishi Xpander increases its appeal with a slightly upgraded appearance and additional equipment with a total of 20 new points appearing on this low-cost MPV model. Maintaining the 1.5L naturally aspirated engine and 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, this model shows assurance with a familiar transmission system and has proven its durability in Vietnam.

The car provides stable operation with a maximum capacity of 103 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 141 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Thanks to that, Mitsubishi Xpander has a fuel consumption of only 6.9 liters/100 km for the manual version and 7.1 liters/100 km for the automatic version.

In addition, Xpander is a car model with a reasonable price (ranging from 555 - 688 million VND), with 4 diverse versions for customers to choose from. For the majority of consumers, at a price range of around 600 million, it is difficult for any popular 7-seat MPV to surpass Xpander. This has been proven by the numbers and position of Xpander in the list of best-selling car models in the Vietnamese market during the past time.

Not to mention, this MPV model also continuously receives attractive incentive programs from both the manufacturer and the dealer. In particular, this April, customers who buy Mitsubishi Xpander and Xpander Cross will receive many gifts and accessories worth from 12 to 36 million VND. With the attractive incentive programs being applied, Xpander and Xpander Cross promise to continue to explode in sales in the near future.

Xpander has been single-handedly carrying the entire MPV segment for the past 5 years, continuously entering the top best-selling cars in the market, far surpassing its competitors.
