Russia's Rosaviatsia aviation agency said four people survived and two were missing in a plane crash carrying six people in mountainous Afghanistan.
"Of the six people on board, four survived. They had multiple injuries. The fate of the remaining two is being verified," the Russian aviation agency Rosaviatsia said on January 21, citing information from the Russian embassy in Afghanistan.
RIA Novosti said the crashed plane was carrying four crew members and two passengers, all Russian. The two passengers were a married couple, the wife was seriously ill, forcing the husband to charter a flight to get to a medical facility.

Provincial government officials in Afghanistan said the plane crashed in the mountainous Badakhshan province, in the country's northeast, which borders China, Tajikistan and Pakistan. Badakhshan provincial government spokesman Zabihullah Amiri said the crash site was eight hours from the provincial capital Faizabad.
Russian authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
The crashed aircraft was a twin-engine Falcon 10, built by the French company Dassault in 1978. The aircraft was registered in Russia and owned by the company Athletic Group LLC and an individual.
