48,550 meritorious people in Ha Tinh received gifts from the President on the occasion of April 30 and September 2

(Baohatinh.vn) - Ha Tinh has 48,550 people with revolutionary contributions who received gifts in this period with a total amount of more than 24.2 billion VND. The gift giving will be completed before April 29, 2025.

Standing Deputy Secretary of Ha Tinh City Party Committee Pham Hung Cuong encouraged and presented gifts to Mr. Dao Xoai - a pre-uprising cadre, 3/4 war invalid, in Tan Giang ward.

President Luong Cuong has just signed Decision No. 689/QD-CTN on giving gifts to people with revolutionary contributions, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

According to the decision, the President gives gifts (in cash) at the level of 500,000 VND to revolutionary activists before January 1, 1945, revolutionary activists from January 1, 1945 to the August 1945 uprising, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes during the resistance war, war invalids, people enjoying policies like war invalids, war invalids of type B, sick soldiers, people with meritorious services to the revolution, revolutionary activists, resistance fighters, national defenders, people performing international duties who were imprisoned or exiled by the enemy and are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

In addition, these gifts are also given to relatives of people with revolutionary contributions, including: Relatives of martyrs receiving monthly allowances; relatives of two or more martyrs receiving monthly allowances; representatives of martyrs' relatives; and people who worship martyrs (in case the martyrs have no relatives).

According to the President's decision, Ha Tinh has 48,550 people with revolutionary contributions who will receive gifts in this period with a total amount of more than 24.2 billion VND. The gift giving will be completed before April 29, 2025.
