5 outstanding works in the final round of the art creation contest from trash

The Trash to Treasure - Vietnam 2023 competition is organized to find designs and artistic prototypes from waste that contain aesthetic values ​​and artistic perspectives.

First prize belongs to author Tran Thu Trang with the work Book to the future

Launched by C Asean since August, the products submitted to the contest are very diverse and rich. Plastic bottles, nylon bags, and canvas, through the hands of students, have been recycled to create useful items in life such as handbags, paintings, cloth bags, etc.

With the desire to encourage and build a community for sustainable development, the Trash to Treasure - Vietnam 2023 contest has had a memorable journey with numbers such as: 24 creative and unique entries; 30 entries supporting communication on student groups and extracurricular activities; 2 entries supporting communication on major university fanpages.

According to the organizers, this year’s contest had 21 out of 24 valid entries. From the 21 entries, the jury selected 5 outstanding works to enter the final round.

Trash to Treasure - Vietnam 2023 hopes to become a valuable asset carrying beautiful memories, while encouraging young talents and conveying positive messages towards sustainable development and global environmental balance. Thereby, we hope to raise awareness as well as convey meaningful messages about recycling waste to protect the environment to the younger generation.

From raw materials and difficult-to-recycle items, Tran Thu Trang has created a valuable and meaningful work of art.

At the end of the contest, the organizing committee awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 1 third prize and 2 consolation prizes for products with beautiful and impressive designs. The first prize belonged to author Tran Thu Trang with the work Book to the future .

Thu Trang said she used raw materials collected in Hanoi , combined with difficult-to-recycle items such as toys and key chains to create a new product that is valuable and extremely meaningful.

Sharing with Thanh Nien , Acting Director of the Department of Performing Arts (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Tran Ly Ly said that Trash to Treasure - Vietnam 2023 is a very meaningful creative art competition that helps raise young people's thinking and awareness about environmental issues.

With their rich creative talents, young people have created wonderful works, contributing to spreading good values ​​in environmental protection, towards a green, healthy lifestyle and sustainable development.
