5 schools are not qualified to return to class after storm No. 3

As of September 16, due to the impact of storm No. 3, the entire Yen Bai province still had 5 schools and one school location that could not open, including: Ly Thuong Kiet High School, Yen Bai city; a kindergarten in Viet Thanh commune, Tran Yen district; 2 primary schools in Hong Thai and Yen Ninh, Yen Bai city; inter-level school in Minh Chuan commune, Luc Yen district and Nga Quan commune school, Tran Yen district.

This morning, overcoming all difficulties after the flood receded, nearly 1,300 students of Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School, Yen Bai City returned to school as usual. Principal Dinh Thi Thu Phuong said that due to heavy rain, the flag-raising ceremony was not held in 32 classes at the beginning of the week, taking time for teachers and students to visit and share with each other about the impacts and damages caused by storm No. 3.

Due to the impact of storm No. 3, Nguyen Thai Hoc Primary School was submerged in nearly 2 meters of water. With a proactive and urgent spirit, the school mobilized forces along with officials, teachers, staff and parents to clean up, disinfect the school, and prepare conditions to welcome students back.
