55 teams compete in the 2025 National U11 Children's Football Tournament

On April 9, in Hanoi, Thieu Nien Tien Phong and Nhi Dong Newspapers, in coordination with the Vietnam Football Federation and main sponsor Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd., Nestlé MILO brand, held a press conference to announce the 2025 National U11 Children's Football Tournament.

Speaking at the ceremony, journalist Nguyen Phan Khue, Editor-in-Chief of the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee, said: “The national U11 children's football tournament under the national competition system, jointly organized by the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper and the Vietnam Football Federation, has been continuously successful over the past 28 years.

"The tournament has received the attention of fans nationwide and is a meaningful sporting event for children. From this tournament, many young football talents have been discovered, developed and contributed to the country's football such as players Duy Manh, Quang Hai, Van Thanh, Dinh Trong, Thanh Chung, Van Hau, Van Toan, Tuan Hai, Hai Long, Nham Manh Dung...", journalist Nguyen Phan Khue emphasized.

This year, the tournament will take place from August 2 to 6 with an overwhelming participation of 55 teams from 43 provinces and cities across the country.

According to the format, the 2025 National U11 Children's Football Tournament is divided into 3 qualifying regions. Dak Lak region takes place from June 2 to 16, Hai Phong region takes place from June 5 to 16 and Ba Ria-Vung Tau region takes place from June 11 to 22.

At the end of the qualifying round, the organizing committee selected 16 excellent teams to participate in the final round, taking place from July 24 to August 6, in Quang Nam .

Commenting on this year’s tournament, Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Football Federation Nguyen Minh Chau highly appreciated the large number of 55 teams participating in this year’s tournament, which clearly demonstrated the efforts of the Organizing Committee as well as the determination of the provinces and cities to participate. This is both an opportunity and a pressure for the Organizing Committee to effectively manage the tournament to have a successful tournament.
