Within the framework of the NextGen Connectivity Summit 2025 held from April 15-17, 2025, Huawei Vietnam's Telecom Infrastructure Business Group shared its vision of "5G-A and AI."
2025 is the beginning of the mobile AI era
5G-A, also known as 5G-Advanced, is an upgraded version of the 5G network, making the network faster, more stable and smarter. 5G-A not only increases connection speed but also better supports technologies such as self-driving cars, virtual reality, smart factories and the Internet of Things (IoT).
At the event, Huawei Vietnam emphasized that 5G-A (5G Advanced) combined with AI (Artificial Intelligence) is creating a wave of comprehensive innovation in telecommunications - from redefining smart services, reshaping user experience, restructuring terminal devices, to re-architecting highly automated network operations. This symbiosis will open up opportunities for double-digit growth in data usage and revenue per mobile subscriber for network operators.
2025 is the first year of the Mobile AI era, marking the shift from people-to-people connection to intelligence-to-intelligence connection. Huawei Vietnam said it is ready to digitally support network operators to seize new opportunities, providing comprehensive “all-in-one” end-to-end solutions for wireless networks, fixed networks, AI storage and intelligent services to lead this era.
As data traffic explodes and demands from AI applications increase, traditional network architectures are facing limitations in efficiency, cost, and flexibility.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Lam - Wireless product and solution expert of Huawei Vietnam said that Huawei solves this challenge through a portfolio of innovative solutions deployed according to scenarios, aiming to achieve the goal of "Most with Least" - maximizing technology with minimal cost, specifically optimizing the network in terms of capacity, performance and experience, minimizing cost and deployment time.
Huawei Vietnam also affirmed that it will be a strategic partner of network operators in the transition from 4G to 5G and 5G-A.
Huawei representatives said that they have successfully deployed “All-in-One” terminals in many markets such as Latin America and the Middle East, recording outstanding network speeds and user experiences, with fewer sites and lower costs. In Vietnam, where digital infrastructure is a national strategic lever, Huawei is committed to accompanying network operators in building a new generation of sustainable and intelligent wireless networks, maximizing the value of connectivity.
Fixed Network Becomes the Infrastructure Platform for the AI Era
As AI becomes ubiquitous in the telecommunications industry, the transmission network will no longer be just a data transmission system, but will become a platform for automation, smart services, and real-time analytics.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Wang Jiaxing - Huawei's Asia-Pacific data communications product expert, emphasized that the future network will also have the ability to calculate and make decisions, intelligently supporting digital services.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Khanh - Service Solution Consultant of Huawei Vietnam also affirmed that data is being awakened by AI and the world is entering an unprecedented era of intelligence with AI. In the future, AI will elevate data to become a strategic asset. Volume and quality, speed and efficiency - data processing, can all be exploited to their full potential by AI. Therefore, mobile applications and cloud services will require intelligent storage infrastructure, capable of understanding and analyzing data in real time with high performance.
In the service sector, Huawei has integrated AI and Big Data into new service and software solutions. Grasping the technological trends and new business models, Huawei innovated and upgraded four prominent solutions: AI-powered Green Data Center, Next-Generation Cloud Computing Billing Solution, Intelligent Customer Service Center, and Automated Decision-Making System.
The green data center solution uses AI to reduce power consumption during idle periods, dynamically adjust resources according to load, and predict hardware failures for maintenance before they occur. Meanwhile, the cloud-based intelligent billing system provides actual usage-based billing while ensuring revenue through real-time analysis. With the other two solutions, Huawei helps carriers automate troubleshooting, accelerate service provisioning, and optimize data flows in the network.
These solutions have been deployed by Huawei to many major networks in China, Europe and the Middle East, delivering significant improvements in troubleshooting time, average revenue per mobile subscriber and energy efficiency.
In Vietnam, Huawei is promoting cooperation with network operators in service innovation, not only keeping up with technology trends but also leading the digital transformation of the telecommunications industry in a smart and sustainable direction.
Huawei representatives expect that the comprehensive strategy of “5G-A and AI” will contribute to building a fully connected and intelligent Vietnam. Through innovation, Huawei will help telecommunications carriers transform from infrastructure providers to intelligent experience providers. The journey towards “Mobile AI” will not only be about leading in speed, but also about simplicity, intelligence and sustainability./.
