79 orphans in Hiep Duc district were adopted

(QNO) - On the afternoon of April 25, the Women's Union of Hiep Duc district summarized 4 years of implementing the "Godmother" program for the period 2021 - 2025, met orphans sponsored by the association and connected organizations and individuals to participate in support.

After 4 years of implementation, the program has received 100% response from the Women's Union of communes and towns, the Women's Union of the District Police and many members and benefactors. Thereby, more than 500 million VND has been mobilized to support the care and sponsorship of 79 orphans in difficult circumstances, including 100% orphans due to the COVID-19 pandemic (3 children).

The Women's Union of Hiep Duc district and its facilities maintain the program "Helping children go to school", giving away more than 20 bicycles and 1,000 gifts on the occasion of Lunar New Year, International Children's Day, Mid-Autumn Festival and the first day of school.

The “Godmothers” regularly visit, encourage, provide psychological support, monitor the health, study and activities of students, help them overcome difficulties and build confidence in the future.

In the first quarter of 2025, the Women's Union of Hiep Duc district awarded 16.5 million VND to sponsor children from the fund provided by the union and benefactors.

At the program, Mr. Bui Tan Sy - Deputy Head of Ethnic and Mountainous Areas Department (Quang Nam Radio and Television Station), honorary member of Vietnam Women's Union presented 20 gifts to 20 orphans.
