According to statistics from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), there are currently more than 589 million adults in the world living with diabetes, and this number is expected to increase to 853 million people by 2050.
In Vietnam, the prevalence of diabetes and metabolic disorders has tripled over the past 20 years, with an estimated 5.7 million adults living with the disease, nearly half of whom are undiagnosed. At the same time, thyroid disease, obesity, dyslipidemia and metabolic syndrome are increasingly prevalent, placing a heavy burden on the health system and society.
The AFES 2025 Conference is organized with the aim of enhancing regional cooperation, sharing knowledge and updating the latest advances in diagnosis, treatment and management of endocrine-metabolic diseases, while promoting the application of digital technology in modern medicine.
With the theme "Endocrine Diseases, Diabetes, Metabolic Disorders and Digital Technology", the Conference focused on exploiting the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Computing to improve the efficiency of management, prevention and patient healthcare.
