Agribank Van Ninh: Promoting the key role in investing in agricultural and rural development

Over the past time, the capital of Agribank Van Ninh has contributed to transforming the economic model, developing key agricultural, forestry and fishery products, increasing added value, and creating jobs for thousands of people in the district. This shows the key role of Agribank in developing the agricultural and rural sectors.

On November 3, the State Bank of Vietnam, Khanh Hoa Branch, coordinated with the People's Committee of Van Ninh District to organize a conference to connect banks and businesses and improve access to credit capital to serve agricultural and rural development in Van Ninh District. Attending the conference, as a key bank in the area, Agribank Van Ninh organized a booth to display and introduce products and services, preferential interest rate loan packages of Agribank. At the same time, at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Thao - Director of Agribank Van Ninh presented the solutions that the branch has implemented to affirm and promote the role of Agribank in agricultural and rural development in the locality. As of September 30, Agribank Van Ninh's mobilized capital reached VND 2,587 billion, accounting for 51.86% of the capital mobilization market share of Van Ninh District; outstanding loans reached VND 1,277 billion, accounting for 49.23% of the credit market share of Van Ninh District. Agribank Van Ninh's lending capital has contributed to transforming the economic model, developing key agricultural, forestry and fishery products, increasing added value, and creating jobs for thousands of people in the area. In addition, the branch always strengthens and coordinates with local Farmers' Associations and Women's Unions to increase outstanding loans steadily over the years in both quantity and quality. As of September 30, outstanding loans through Farmers' Associations and Women's Unions reached 173 billion VND with 75 groups and 1,596 members.

Taking advantage of its network, Agribank Van Ninh has promoted modern banking products and services to customers in rural areas, such as: Agribank E-Mobile Banking, Viet QR, Loc Viet Card (integrating both overdraft and domestic credit card), bill payment, tuition collection for all schools, overdraft limit issuance..., contributing to promoting e-commerce in rural areas, implementing digital transformation according to the Government 's direction. In 2023, Agribank Van Ninh signed a cooperation agreement with Van Ninh District Urban Joint Stock Company to deploy water bill payment service via Agribank, thereby providing a fast, safe and convenient payment channel for people.

At the conference, Agribank Van Ninh signed a contract to provide capital to 6 customers (1 corporate customer and 5 individual customers) with a total capital of 54 billion VND. This conference created a positive image of Agribank for customers, affirming the role and position of Agribank in credit activities in the district in particular and Khanh Hoa province in general, especially in the agricultural and rural areas.

With the achieved results, in the coming time, the branch will continue to implement preferential credit programs and support of Agribank to many different customer groups, including increasing credit capital in the agricultural and rural sectors, considering this a key task in the operation process to effectively implement the spirit of Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
