The first music album in Vietnam connecting art and Blockchain

The release of the first NFT album in Vietnam is not only a symbolic event but also a strategic step, paving the way for a new generation of artists to be ready to enter the Web3 era.

On June 3, the Vietnamese music market marked a new milestone when rapper Pjpo collaborated with Dagora to officially release the first music album in NFT form called "131km."

This is the first music product in Vietnam connecting art and blockchain technology, opening a new era for the Vietnamese music industry.

From the rise of CDs in the early 2000s to the dominance of digital music platforms, the way people access music has changed dramatically. Now, with the rise of Web3 and NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), music is once again transforming into a unique digital asset.

NFTs are blockchain-validated digital assets that help ensure ownership and authenticity of a work. This opens up opportunities for artists to release limited editions, increase collectible value, and generate sustainable revenue from fan communities.

The “131km” album is released as a limited edition NFT. Each track carries a unique identifier on the blockchain, ensuring exclusivity and non-replicability.

NFT album owners will receive privileges such as: Access to behind-the-scenes content, tickets to private shows, limited edition merchandise (products related to idols that you can buy, sell, and exchange such as albums, lightsticks, posters, shirts, keychains, etc.), values that traditional music listening platforms cannot provide.

More importantly, users can trade and collect albums as digital assets, contributing to the creation of a creative economic ecosystem where fans have a real voice and ownership value.

"We believe that NFTs are not just technology, but a new way of storytelling, a new way of building communities, where artists have full control over their work and fans truly own the value they love," Dagora representative shared.

Through the collaboration project with Pjpo, Dagora aims to pave the way for the next generation of Vietnamese artists to gain deeper access to blockchain technology, contributing to the formation of a more decentralized, equitable and sustainable creative economy in the future.

Before rapper Pjpo's album "131km" was released, the Vietnamese music market had a few music projects using NFT, but they were mainly at the experimental level, releasing one or a few songs as NFTs, and no complete albums were released.

Around the world, many famous artists have succeeded with NFT albums, typically Snoop Dogg with “BODR” - a collection of 17 NFT music tracks. Fans who own all 17 NFTs are entitled to attend special events, even barbecues at Snoop Dogg's house. This album once brought in 44.3 million USD in revenue, affirming the great potential of the new music distribution model./
