An Giang adds more than 39 billion VND to the budget to support travel and accommodation expenses for officials

Accordingly, the 2025 budget for provincial agencies and units is supplemented by more than 39 billion VND, from other regular expenditure sources of the provincial budget. This is only an estimated figure, the head of the agency or unit is fully responsible for the payment of policy support funds to cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers under their management.

The support regime is implemented from the effective date of Resolution No. 02/2025/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council (August 1, 2025), for cases of changing the actual workplace from An Giang Provincial Administrative Center (before the merger) to An Giang Provincial Administrative Center (after the merger) and vice versa; paid periodically every month along with the current salary and implemented in the form of a lump sum. No support for travel expenses or accommodation support for subjects who have been arranged for shuttle buses or official housing according to prescribed standards.

Agencies and units shall review subjects that have been decided by competent authorities to implement the policy of early retirement and resignation according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP and Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP of the Government to pay according to the actual time worked at the administrative center (after the merger) from August 1 to the time of retirement.

For public service units that partially self-insure regular expenses (group 3) in the case of merger between public service units that partially self-insure regular expenses and investment expenses (group 1) or public service units that partially self-insure regular expenses (group 2) into public service units that partially self-insure regular expenses (group 3) or public service units whose regular expenses are guaranteed by the State (group 4) whose needs have been synthesized and support funding has been arranged, the units are only allowed to pay support costs for cadres, civil servants and employees according to Resolution No. 02/2025/NQ-HDND when there is a decision by a competent authority approving the financial autonomy plan as a public service unit that partially self-insures regular expenses (group 3).

At the same time, carry out the settlement of assigned funds in accordance with the provisions of the State Budget Law and relevant guiding documents; be responsible before the law for cases of profiteering and group interests occurring at the unit.

According to the appendix attached to Decision No. 1208/QD-UBND, the highest level of support funding belongs to the Department of Agriculture and Environment (nearly 5.3 billion VND), with 13 affiliated units; Provincial Party Committee (over 4.6 billion VND), with 7 affiliated units; Department of Culture and Sports (over 4.1 billion VND), with 5 affiliated units; Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (over 3.3 billion VND), with 15 affiliated units...
