An Giang opens the 2025 National Residential Mass Arts Festival

This event is hosted by the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library, in coordination with relevant agencies and units. An Giang province was chosen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as the host.

Mass art troupes from 12 provinces and cities: An Giang, Hanoi , Quang Ngai, Son La, Tay Ninh, Phu Tho, Da Nang, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Quang Ninh and Vinh Long participated in the event.

The art troupes performed in two parts: “Shining Journey - Connecting residential culture” and a comprehensive art performance of singing, dancing, and music. The content focused on themes praising the Party, Uncle Ho, love for the homeland, country, people, and love between couples... The closing ceremony and award ceremony will be on November 19.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huy, Deputy Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library; Deputy Head of the Festival Organizing Committee affirmed that the cultural and artistic movement in residential areas in recent years has developed strongly from villages, hamlets and residential groups.

The cultural life of the people is increasingly rich; cultural values are preserved and promoted. The cultural and artistic movement has contributed to building and fostering revolutionary ideals, values of truth, goodness and beauty; improving the spiritual life and cultural enjoyment needs of the people. From there, it has strengthened the trust of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the leadership of the Party and the administration of the State; created a vibrant competitive atmosphere, and contributed significantly to the successful implementation of socio -economic development goals and tasks.

The festival aims to propagate and mobilize people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws. It praises the tradition of great national unity, the tradition of revolutionary struggle, and cultural traditions; it commends good people, good deeds, and the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance in the community.

Actively contribute to building cultural life at the grassroots level in the process of building, developing and protecting the Fatherland. Along with that, introduce and promote cultural identity, customs, folk songs, folk dances, traditional costumes of ethnic groups across the country; at the same time promote the image of a dynamic residential community, united together to develop the economy and society, maintain national security and defense, and build a rich, beautiful and civilized country.

The festival is also an opportunity for typical residential areas to meet, exchange, learn experiences, discuss good practices and effective measures in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, and building cultural and artistic movements at the grassroots level.

This is an opportunity for grassroots art nuclei nationwide to demonstrate their talent, creativity and passion for art, contributing to promoting the image of a civilized, happy, united residential area, realizing the aspiration for a strong Vietnam.
