Looking back at 2024, the province's socio -economic situation took place in the context of the domestic and international situation facing great challenges, rapid fluctuations, unpredictability and high instability. Overcoming those difficulties, the Party Committee, government and people of An Giang province continued to promote the spirit of solidarity, actively innovate and create; closely following the directions and orientations of the Central Government to deploy many drastic and synchronous solutions, ensuring the comprehensive development of the province, "creating momentum" to successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress.
The results of the province's socio-economic picture with many bright and convincing colors when the province has achieved and exceeded 13/15 targets set by the Provincial People's Council Resolution, of which 5 targets were exceeded, 8 targets were met and 2 targets were not met (GRDP growth rate and GRDP per capita). It can be seen that in extremely difficult conditions, the GRDP growth rate of the province reached 7.16%, higher than the national average (estimated increase of 7%), this is the effort of the entire political system and the people of the whole province.

Proudly, the Via Ba Chua Xu Festival of Sam Mountain was recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, contributing to promoting the good image of the land, people and homeland of An Giang - the homeland of President Ton Duc Thang to domestic and international friends.
National defense - security, social order and safety are maintained; border security is strengthened; ethnic and religious affairs continue to be focused on; expanding and improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs and international integration; promoting economic diplomacy and defense diplomacy; building a peaceful, friendly, stable and developing border.
