The 2025 International Student Competition - THACO Cup will take place from March 22 to 30 at Ton Duc Thang University, right after the 2025 Finals of the 2025 International Student Competition concludes. Two teams selected from the ongoing Finals will represent the Vietnamese student flag to compete in the 2025 International Student Competition - THACO Cup, where there will be four more foreign teams.

The international teams that will come to Ho Chi Minh City to compete in the international student tournament include: Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), Lao University (gathering players from 4 Lao universities including Lao National University, Champasak University, Souphanouvong University and Savannakhet University), Life University (Cambodia) and Malaysia University (Malaysia). These are all excellent representatives from the developed school football backgrounds in Southeast Asia, promising to bring interesting colors to the first season of the international TNSV playground.

Nanyang Technological University is a leading force in Singaporean student football, as coach Saswadimata Bin Dasuki and his team have just won the 2024 Singapore University Games . The men's football team of Nanyang Technological University is professionally invested in, following the model of powerful school football teams such as Japan and Korea. The professionalism and meticulousness in training and competition of Nanyang Technological University is a breath of fresh air in this year's tournament.

Also invested in training with good facilities, along with a growing sports movement, the Malaysian University Team is a leading candidate for the championship, with a technical playing style, short, fast, smooth passing and good adaptability. Malaysian football always produces the fastest, most skillful players in the region, thus bringing a huge challenge to the teams in this playground.

Lao University with the alliance of 4 universities strong in the sports movement in the land of a million elephants is also a bright candidate. Lao school football has always been worth watching, because the players have impressive physical foundation, excellent stretching ability, and a simple and dedicated playing style. Although the establishment of the alliance team may not have time for Lao University to unite the team as well as other opponents, in return, this team gathers the quintessence of 4 universities to establish the strongest framework.

The final representative, Life University from Cambodia, is an interesting unknown. The familiar philosophy of technical, skillful, and passing play of Cambodian football has long been instilled in the student players. Combined with good facilities and preparation, Life University came to this year's tournament determined to prove itself.

Facing 4 powerful international teams will be 2 representatives selected from the 2025 TNSV THACO cup finals, including the champion team and host Ton Duc Thang University (if Ton Duc Thang University wins, the spot will be transferred to the runner-up team).

Sharing with Thanh Nien , many players and coaches at TNSV THACO Cup 2025 are excited about the prospect of competing with the top universities in Southeast Asia. This is also the motivation for the schools to try harder, determined to win the championship cup and stay in Ho Chi Minh City for the entire month of March.

Head coach of the Vietnamese team Kim Sang-sik affirmed to Thanh Nien : "Competing with foreign teams is an opportunity for Vietnamese students to improve themselves, demonstrate the spirit of solidarity and noble competition. Let's try our best for the flag and the shirt."

The six teams participating in the 2025 International TNSV - THACO Cup are divided into two groups of three teams each. The first and second teams will advance to the semi-finals. With a total of 10 matches in the tournament, the international playground will ignite student football at Ton Duc Thang University from March 22 to 30.
