After the brilliant opening night, Da Nang city continued to bustle to welcome the second competition night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2025, taking place on the evening of June 7.
With the theme “Creative Art”, the competition night promises to bring an eye-catching stage, with artistic fireworks, vibrant music and bold ideas.
The highlight of the second night was the confrontation between the Z121 Vina Pyrotech team from Vietnam and the Surex Firma Rodzinna team from Poland. One side was a new fireworks team with the aspiration to reach international level, while the other side was a veteran, having conquered many famous fireworks stages.
Z121 Vina Pyrotech: Aspiration to reach out to the world
As the first-time team appearing at DIFF, Z121 Vina Pyrotech, also known as Chemical 21 Limited Liability Company, under the General Department of Defense Industry, Ministry of Defense, has more than 30 years of experience in the field of fireworks production in Vietnam.
With many years of accompanying important domestic events, for the first time they stepped into the international arena with a modern, creative fireworks style with the message "Aspiration to rise".
Mr. Tran Son, Captain of the Z121 Vina Pyrotech Fireworks Team, shared: “We came here with high spirits and the desire to bring the most beautiful performances to the sky of Da Nang. Bringing to international friends the image of a peaceful, stable and creative Vietnam. From the first series of fireworks, we hope to demonstrate the high-class techniques of Vietnamese fireworks and send a message about a country steadily moving forward, reaching the regional and world level.”
Team Z121 Vina Pyrotech plans to bring outstanding performances, not only in terms of technique but also in terms of creativity, with images imbued with Vietnamese culture such as the red flag with yellow star, lotus flowers or brilliant purple colors. This is one of the factors that makes the performance of team Z121 a highlight not to be missed at this year's fireworks festival.
Surex Firma Rodzinna: Experience and Innovation
While the Z121 Vina Pyrotech team is a newcomer, the Surex Firma Rodzinna team from Poland is one of the veteran names in the world of fireworks. With more than 30 years of experience and participation in more than 50 international competitions, Surex has affirmed its class through a series of prestigious awards at famous fireworks festivals in China, Korea, France, Germany, Czech Republic, Croatia... Notably, at DIFF 2023, the Surex team was honored as the "Most Creative Fireworks Team".
Mr. Jaroslaw, Captain of Surex, shared: “We are very proud to return to DIFF and Da Nang. Our performance, titled 'Dragon Love', is inspired by Eastern mythology, telling the love story between the fire dragon Luna and the water dragon Draco. This story not only conveys the message of love and the connection between cultures, but also shows the intersection between tradition and modernity. We hope the audience will enjoy an emotional story.”
Surex stands out not only in its skillful pyrotechnics but also in its ability to tell stories through fireworks, delivering performances that are both eye-catching and artistic. By using fireworks to create images of fire dragons and water dragons, the Polish team continues to affirm its class and creativity.
A Promising Confrontation
The confrontation between Z121 Vina Pyrotech and Surex Firma Rodzinna is one of the attractive highlights of DIFF 2025. On one side is a new team with fresh energy, creative style and a strong message about Vietnam's peace and creativity. On the other side, Surex is an experienced team, capable of combining music, light and fireworks to tell profound, emotional stories.
Ms. Nadia Shakira Wong – Managing Director of Global 2000, commented: “Z121 is a new team, but with their skills and thorough preparation, they bring a breath of fresh air to this year's fireworks festival. They are able to use special fireworks, which makes them a team to look forward to. As for the Polish team, they represent the world class and have performed all over the world. Their performance of 'Dragon Love' is truly an ambitious challenge, with a unique idea of creating a dragon-shaped fireworks. We are looking forward to this competition.”
