This event opens the chain of nearly 170 activities, events, and programs throughout the year promoting the potential and beauty of the country and people of Vietnam in general and Dien Bien province in particular.

Regarding the situation of welcoming tourists, the total number of international visitors in the first 3 months of 2024 reached more than 4.6 million, an increase of 72% over the same period in 2023 and an increase of 3.2% over the same period in 2019 - the time before the Covid-19 pandemic.

Major markets in Northeast Asia continued to grow strongly, driving the recovery in international arrivals. Nearby markets in Southeast Asia grew well.

European markets continue to grow strongly due to the effectiveness of the unilateral visa exemption policy for entry into Vietnam with a temporary stay of up to 45 days.
