Seminar on Vietnam's foreign economic policy at the University of Bucharest

Within the framework of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Romania diplomatic relations (1950-2025), on May 6, the Vietnamese Embassy in Romania organized a seminar on Vietnam's foreign economic policy and Vietnam-Romania relations at the Francophone Regional Center for Advanced Studies in Social Sciences (CEREFREA Villa Noël), University of Bucharest.

Attending were a number of Ambassadors, Heads of international organizations, diplomats , lecturers, researchers...

Ambassador Do Duc Thanh gave an in-depth presentation on the foundations of Vietnam's foreign economic policy and economic diplomacy, outstanding achievements 50 years after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975), and emphasized the achievements and prospects for cooperation between the two countries on the basis of 75 years of friendly relations and the challenges facing the economies today.

Many students and researchers expressed interest in Vietnam's foreign policy.

During the discussion, delegates expressed their admiration for Vietnam's impressive achievements in all aspects over the past 80 years, emphasizing achievements in foreign affairs in general and foreign economic affairs in particular.

Delegates exchanged and discussed the socialist-oriented market economy model in Vietnam, the secrets to creating miracles, strategies to create balance in foreign relations, promote the role of cultural diplomacy, promote "soft power", and Vietnam's ability to adapt to the trend of green economic transformation, digital economy, circular economy, etc.

On this occasion, the Embassy organized a booth to display and promote Vietnamese culture and products. Guests enjoyed some specialties such as tea, coffee, green bean cakes, cashew nuts, etc., and learned about the dishes, tourism attraction policies and unique handicraft products.
