17-year-old brother carrying younger sibling on electric bike was hit by tractor trailer

The accident between an electric bicycle and a tractor trailer on Highway 18 through Cong Hoa Ward (Chi Linh City) left a 17-year-old male student dead.

At around 12:20 on April 25, HVC, born in 2008, was riding an electric bicycle carrying his younger brother HVN, born in 2012, both from Chi Ngai 2 area, Cong Hoa ward (Chi Linh) on National Highway 18 in the direction of Quang Ninh - Sao Do and had an accident.

When reaching km 39, at the intersection between National Highway 18 and Yet Kieu Street, the electric bicycle turned left onto Yet Kieu Street and was hit by a tractor trailer 20C-165.43, pulling a trailer 90R-003.18 driven by Mr. PTL, born in 1989 in Tich Luong Ward ( Thai Nguyen City) going in the opposite direction.

The accident caused C. to die at the scene, and N. was injured and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
