Faced with this situation, the Southeast Asian Endocrinology and Diabetes Conference (AFES 2025) held in Da Nang from November 14 to 16 has become an important forum for experts to discuss more effective, comprehensive and sustainable disease management solutions.
The conference gathered hundreds of leading experts in the fields of endocrinology, diabetes and chronic diseases in Asia with the participation of more than 2,000 domestic and regional doctors, to share new medical updates and discuss advanced disease management models suitable for Vietnamese practice.

AS ONE includes a combination of high-quality treatment drugs, compliant with the latest ADA and IDF 2025 recommendations, and health communication and education programs deployed synchronously on both offline and online platforms such as the Day 1 ecosystem .
Launched in 2016 by Servier Vietnam with content sponsorship from the Vietnam Cardiovascular Association and the Vietnam Endocrine and Diabetes Association, the First Day ecosystem helps raise public awareness of diabetes, thereby enhancing patients' proactive and self-management role.
More importantly, this model focuses on multidisciplinary collaboration between physicians, pharmacists, nurses, administrators, and patients – all working toward the goal of increasing chronic disease control rates in Vietnam.
With nearly 10 years of establishment, the First Day ecosystem has expanded to multiple channels including: more than 100 consulting corners at hospitals, hundreds of patient clubs. Annual communication campaigns such as the "Campaign 7" campaign help improve knowledge about diabetes; online platforms such as website, youtube, fanpage with more than 20 million visits per year, and digital application Elfie with more than 500,000 users nationwide.
What sets AS ONE apart is its chain-based approach to the patient journey. From the moment of diagnosis and detection, patients receive advice, communication and support from the medical team, helping them understand their health status and form positive habits from the beginning.
During the treatment phase, doctors play a central role in choosing the optimal, effective and affordable treatment regimen, helping patients access treatment early and appropriately. When entering the long-term treatment phase, support activities such as patient clubs, online communication programs and digital tools act as companions, reminders and motivations for patients to persevere in pursuing the treatment regimen.
The AFES 2025 Conference is not only a place to share advanced medical knowledge, but also a call to action from the professional community to work together to improve people's health, towards a future of more effective control of endocrine diseases and diabetes.
The AS ONE model, with its comprehensiveness and scalability, is expected to create an important step forward in chronic disease management in Vietnam and the region.
