The conference listened to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, announce the Politburo 's opinion on the personnel introduced for consultation to elect the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X; Ms. Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, presented the Presidium's report on supplementing and replacing personnel participating in the Committee members, members of the Presidium, Standing Committee and holding the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term X, term 2024 - 2029.
Pursuant to the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Politburo's decision on personnel work, with a high sense of responsibility, democracy and solidarity, the Conference unanimously agreed to elect Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and central organizations to participate in the Central Committee, the Presidium, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term, 2024 - 2029.
Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai affirmed that being elected by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front as Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is an honor and also a great responsibility assigned by the Party and the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
According to the new Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, over the 95 years of formation and development, founded and led by the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has been continuously consolidated and strengthened, increasingly affirming its important role and position in the political system and people's lives.
Emphasizing that as the successor, with the role and responsibility as the head of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her deep gratitude and sincere thanks to the previous Chairmen of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, generations of leaders and cadres of the Front who have created a rich tradition and built a solid foundation for the work of the Front.
In particular, in the recent period, Chairman Do Van Chien and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee have led, directed, and left many innovative marks in the work of the Front. Notably, the Front has performed well its role in listening, gathering, and reflecting people's opinions and recommendations; strengthened social supervision and criticism activities, participated in preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; united and attached to compatriots of all ethnic groups, religions, and overseas Vietnamese; called on and mobilized organizations and individuals at home and abroad to join the Party and State in helping the poor, providing disaster relief, preventing and fighting epidemics, contributing to ensuring social security, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and sustainable poverty reduction. The Front has strengthened its close relationship and coordination with the Government, ministries, branches, central and local agencies; Pay attention to personnel work, infrastructure conditions, apply information technology and operate the "Digital Front Portal" to receive people's opinions 24/7 to digitize the Front's work, practically implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo. At the same time, arrange and streamline the apparatus of the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State in accordance with the direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat and the guidance of the Central Committees, ministries and branches.
Inheriting and promoting the achievements, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai emphasized that she will make every effort, together with the Standing Committee, the Presidium and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, to unite, unify leadership, promote the role and responsibility of the Front and mass organizations, contribute practically to the cause of great national unity, continue to affirm more clearly the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new revolutionary period, and comprehensively lead the implementation of the functions and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
In the immediate future, it is necessary to urgently implement the program and plan to deploy the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2025-2030 term and the direction of General Secretary To Lam at the Congress; lead and direct the successful organization of the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026-2031 term; effectively deploy the task of the Front participating in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and the election of deputies to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; preside over and coordinate the collection of comments from all walks of life on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party; continue to perfect the project to arrange press agencies and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State according to the direction of the Politburo and the Secretariat; do a good job of monitoring, social criticism, protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.
