"Sensitive" to IPO deals
Vingroup group traded quite peacefully in the morning session but exploded in the afternoon session after information that Vinpearl submitted its application for listing on HoSE. This is a subsidiary of the group, in charge of tourism and resorts, with a charter capital of 17,933 billion VND, equivalent to nearly 1.8 billion shares that will be in circulation soon.
Previously, Vinpearl announced its 2024 business results with revenue of VND 14,376 billion and profit after tax of VND 2,550 billion, up 55% and 280% respectively compared to 2023. At the end of 2024, the company's total assets reached more than VND 76,483 billion, up 73% compared to the beginning of the year.
In fact, Vinpearl was listed on HoSE in 2008 with the code VPL, but then delisted in 2011 due to merging with Vincom JSC to form Vingroup Corporation as it is today.
Vingroup’s stock performance is sensitive to the IPOs of its subsidiaries. Before the Vinhomes listing in 2018, VIC increased by 84% in 2017 and continued to increase by 49% in 2018. VIC also increased by nearly 50% during the listing of VinFast in August 2023.
