The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that from May 31, the heat wave will increase again in the North and Central regions after a decrease due to short-term rain. Records on the afternoon of May 30 showed that rain has decreased significantly in both regions, creating favorable conditions for the heat wave to develop in the coming days.

From May 31 to at least June 4, the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai will enter a widespread heat wave, with common temperatures around 35-37 degrees Celsius, some places exceeding 38 degrees Celsius. The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that the main weather pattern these days is strong southwesterly winds.
According to meteorological experts, Lao winds will make the North Central region the driest and hottest region with almost no rain during the period from May 31 to June 4.
In the North, especially the delta region and Hanoi , from June 1 to 3, there will also be a severe heat wave. According to weather experts, the noon and afternoon temperatures during these days can reach 38-40 degrees Celsius. This temperature is higher than the previous common level and can last until the end of June 3 or 4, after which the area will welcome a new period of rain from about June 5 to 8.
In the Central Coastal region such as Hue, Da Nang , Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, according to meteorological experts, there will still be scattered showers in the afternoon of May 31, then from June 1 to 4, there will be strong sunshine and dryness.
According to meteorological experts, rainfall in the South Central, Central Highlands and South regions will tend to decrease from May 31. Next week, rainfall in these regions will be significantly less than last week.
In the southwestern region and Ho Chi Minh City, scattered thunderstorms still occur in the afternoons, however the intensity and area of rain are not as large as before.
