Many elderly people in Khau Vai commune came for free health check-ups.

The program is implemented by the People's Committee of Khau Vai commune in coordination with Meo Vac Regional Medical Center to raise awareness, self-care skills and access to health services for the elderly. At the program, the elderly are examined clinically, have ultrasounds, measure blood pressure, test blood sugar, check heart, lungs, teeth and jaws, ears, nose and throat, musculoskeletal system, and receive advice on proper nutrition and lifestyle.

This is an activity within the plan for periodic health check-ups for the elderly in 2025, under the National Target Program for Socio -Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas. A total of 1,087 elderly people were examined at 3 locations: Can Chu Phin, Lung Pu and Khau Vai Health Stations of Khau Vai Commune.

Organizing health check-ups and providing free medicine not only contributes to early detection and management of common chronic diseases in the elderly, but also demonstrates the concern of local authorities in taking care of people's health, helping the elderly live happily, healthily and usefully.
