Bac Giang Provincial Library has affirmed its central role in spreading reading culture through a series of practical and creative activities. From building a modern library system to organizing large-scale reading cultural events, it has constantly made efforts to bring books closer to all classes of people.
One of the outstanding contributions of the Provincial Library is the coordination with relevant units to organize the annual “Reading Culture Ambassador” contest. This contest, which started in 2019, has become a useful playground, attracting hundreds of thousands of students to participate.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dac Hong, Director of the Provincial Library: “The contest not only encourages students to read books, but also creates opportunities for them to share stories and lessons from books, thereby spreading the love of reading to the community”. In 2024, the provincial contest recorded nearly 105,000 entries from 303 schools, 2.5 times higher than the previous year, demonstrating the attraction and influence of this activity.
