Bac Giang organizes conference to connect and support cooperatives in promoting products

On the afternoon of December 20, the Cooperative Alliance of Bac Giang province held a conference to connect and support cooperatives in promoting products at points of introduction and consumption of OCOP products and regional characteristics; inaugurated a product display area of Bac Giang province and organized product displays and introductions for cooperatives in 2024.

Attending the conference were Mr. Dinh Hong Thai - Vice Chairman of Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; Phan The Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Duc Hien - Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Alliance; representatives of the Center for Trade and Investment Promotion - Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; leaders of the Cooperative Alliance of 12 provinces and cities; a number of relevant departments and branches and representatives of cooperatives inside and outside the province.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union Nguyen Duc Hien said that every year, the Bac Giang Provincial Cooperative Union has many programs to support trade promotion activities, connecting supply and demand, linking product consumption, and expanding markets for cooperatives.

To continue supporting cooperatives to have a unified focal point, convenient for promoting, introducing and linking product consumption, the Provincial People's Committee is interested in investing and assigning the Provincial Cooperative Union to manage and operate the Exhibition Area, introducing products for cooperatives. He emphasized that this is a reliable place to help cooperatives promote products, grasp official information to learn, connect, link to consume products inside and outside the province, at the same time, reserve space for provinces and cities that need to display, promote and introduce typical products to consumers in Bac Giang province.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Hien hopes that the Cooperative Union of provinces and cities will be the connecting point, creating conditions for cooperatives to meet, exchange experiences, share cooperation opportunities, thereby building a network to promote the consumption of OCOP products, regional specialties at product display points in each province and city. Exchanging and sharing management and operation experiences and support mechanisms and policies will help display points, introduce products for cooperatives to operate effectively, practically, improve competitiveness and find reliable partners, bringing long-term benefits to cooperatives.
