According to Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Lieu, Luu Hoang Ly, currently, the whole province has 132
OCOP products , of which 33 products are ranked 4 stars and 99 products are ranked 3 stars. Most of the OCOP products of Bac Lieu province are famous local specialties for a long time, typically dried shrimp, pork roll, pork sausage, tendon sausage, refined salt, grain salt, pepper salt, chili salt, shrimp salt, frozen whole whiteleg shrimp, frozen steamed/boiled whole whiteleg shrimp, pre-processed and dried bird's nest, etc.

Also according to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Lieu, since participating in OCOP, businesses and households have been supported by functional agencies to introduce, advertise, and promote products through forms such as fairs, conferences connecting supply and demand, etc. Thanks to the active support of the local government and functional sectors, especially the agricultural and industrial sectors, many OCOP products of businesses and households in the province are known by many consumers, chosen to buy as gifts during holidays. With increased consumer purchasing power, sales establishments have also increased their sources of raw materials for processing to supply the market in a timely manner.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sen, a business that has been selling Son Ha brand pork roll products for over 45 years in Bac Lieu province, said that Son Ha brand pork roll, tendon roll, fried roll (specializing in producing pork roll, pork and beef ingredients) and some other products processed from seafood (shrimp, fish) have been granted a 4-star OCOP product certificate by the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province. At the same time, the products were granted certificates by the central ministries and functional agencies for 3 products: pork roll, tendon roll, and Son Ha fried sausage (Bac Lieu) meeting HACCP (ie meeting export standards to the US market and some other "difficult" markets)... Mr. Sen said that since the products of pork roll, tendon roll, and Son Ha fried sausage were recognized as 3 stars, then 4 stars, until now, these traditional products of his family have regularly participated in fairs and OCOP product booths in provinces and cities across the country to contribute to promoting the nearly 50-year-old traditional products of his family and Bac Lieu locality in the period of opening and integration.

However, the OCOP program of Bac Lieu province still has many limitations and has not really met the requirements. To bring the OCOP Bac Lieu brand further, the local government and functional agencies need to continue to make greater efforts. The province needs to have support policies and mobilize investment resources to create quality OCOP products, bringing high
economic value for sustainable development. "To remove difficulties, obstacles and limitations and weaknesses, localities, departments and branches in the province need to further promote the promotion and trade promotion of OCOP products through organizing provincial fairs, participating in regional, national and international fairs...
