Bac Lieu won 20 medals at the 2025 National Youth Weightlifting Championship

Athlete Tran Luong Bang Doanh of Bac Lieu won 3 gold medals, over 59kg female weight category, age group 13-14.

The 2025 National Youth Weightlifting Championship will take place from March 30 to April 4, 2025 in Dak Lak province. The tournament is organized by the Vietnam Weightlifting and Bodybuilding Federation (Department of Physical Training and Sports , Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province.

The tournament attracted 235 male and female athletes from 31 delegations of provinces, cities and sectors, including: An Giang, Bac Giang, Bac Lieu, Bac Ninh, Can Tho, Da Nang, Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Hanoi , Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Hoa Binh, Hung Yen, Khanh Hoa, Kien Giang, Lam Dong, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Quang Ninh, Quang Tri, Soc Trang, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Tien Giang, Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Public Security.

Athlete Ngo Tran Dang Khoa won 2 gold medals, men's 73kg weight class, age group 15-16.

Athletes compete in the following categories: 40kg, 45kg, 49kg, 55kg, 59kg and over 59kg (for women); 49kg, 55kg, 61kg, 67kg, 73kg and over 73kg (for men).

Bac Lieu delegation had 10 athletes participating. The result was 20 medals, including: 5 gold medals, 7 silver medals, 8 bronze medals. Ranked 3rd in the women's team category, age group 13 - 14 and ranked 5/31 participating delegations. Of which: Athlete Tran Luong Bang Doanh won 3 gold medals, over 59kg female category, age group 13 - 14; Athlete Ngo Tran Dang Khoa won 2 gold medals, 73kg male category, age group 15 - 16.
