Bac Ninh: Farmers are the main subjects in the process of agricultural and rural development.

On September 12, the Farmers' Association of Bac Ninh province held a press conference for the 10th Congress of the Farmers' Association of Bac Ninh province, term 2023 - 2028. Chairwoman of the Farmers' Association of the province - Nguyen Thi Le Tuyet chaired the press conference.

The Press Conference was attended by 230 official delegates (including: 24 incumbent delegates who are members of the Provincial Farmers' Association Executive Committee, term IX, 199 delegates elected from the Farmers' Association Congresses of districts, towns and cities and 07 appointed delegates), representing over 174 thousand farmer members in the province, along with many central and local press agencies.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Cong Thao, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association, said that in the 2018-2023 term, the Farmers' Association at all levels organized nearly 7,000 propaganda sessions for more than 715,000 members and farmers; Admitted nearly 11,000 new members, bringing the total number of current members to more than 174,000 members; Established 46 professional farmers' associations with 1,518 members, 460 professional farmers' association groups with 3,000 members; Directly organized and coordinated the organization of 702 training courses, fostering professional skills for the association for 57,000 association officials at all levels from the provincial to the grassroots level.

In the whole province, there are more than 465,000 farmer households registered to strive to achieve the title of good farmer households in production and business at all levels. Through evaluation, there were 399,753 member households achieving the title of good farmer households in production and business.

Officials and members of the Farmers' Association in the whole province donated funds to build 13 Farmers' Gratitude Houses (worth 60 - 65 million VND/house) and presented 81 breeding cows (worth 15 - 20 million VND/cow) to poor farmers in difficult circumstances; mobilized members and farmers to take on the task of planting and caring for over 245,000 trees - the "Farmer's Tree Row" project.

Propaganda and mobilization work for members and farmers to participate in health insurance and social insurance has been focused; through the agents of the farmers' association, more than 162,000 people have participated in family health insurance and 1,360 people have participated in voluntary social insurance. Up to now, the total capital of the Farmers' Support Fund in the province has reached 114,386 billion VND (the Central Government has entrusted the Provincial Farmers' Support Fund with 16.6 billion VND; the Provincial People's Committee has provided 83.2 billion VND; the district-level management source: 14,586 billion VND).

The Provincial Vocational Training and Farmer Support Center directly opened 40 vocational training classes for 1,376 members and farmers. After training, more than 80% of students were introduced to jobs and had stable jobs; coordinated in recruiting master's training resources; advised and introduced 10,550 members and farmers about labor export and studying abroad. Farmers' Associations at all levels coordinated with vocational training units in the province to organize 175 vocational training classes for 5,553 members and farmers.

Farmers' Associations at all levels have promoted service activities, consulting and supporting farmers in developing production and business; directly supplied more than 9,000 tons of fertilizers and biological products on a deferred payment basis; organized 2,525 training sessions on transferring scientific and technological advances in cultivation, animal husbandry and aquaculture for 207,666 farmer members; organized 3 safe agricultural product markets and participated in displaying and promoting agricultural products at 19 fairs and exhibitions inside and outside the province.

In general direction, in the coming time, Bac Ninh Farmers' Association will continue to promote the strength of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, building the peasant class as the main subject in the process of agricultural and rural development;

Building a strong farmers' association in terms of politics, organization and action, worthy of being the center and core in farmers' movements and the new rural construction; proactively integrating internationally; effectively participating in the work of building a strong party, government and the great national unity bloc;

Promote the implementation of major emulation movements of the association, actively mobilize and create conditions for farmers to compete in labor production, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty; build new rural areas; participate in the implementation of national defense and security tasks, contribute to the successful implementation of the province's socio-economic goals; build Bac Ninh province to become a province with an important position in the overall economic development of the Red River Delta and soon become a type I urban area, a centrally-run city;

Continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, build a strong and effective association organization, meet the requirements of improving the effectiveness of agricultural mobilization work; mobilize members and farmers to develop agriculture towards food safety and protect consumer health;

Farmers' associations at all levels must do a good job of gathering, uniting, promoting democracy and creativity of members and farmers; participate in building and organizing farmers to effectively implement the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, programs and projects for socio-economic development in rural areas, building new rural areas, especially Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW dated June 16, 2022 of the Party Central Committee (Term XIII) on agriculture, farmers and rural areas to 2030, with a vision to 2045;

Improve the effectiveness of emulation movements among farmers, focusing on the Movement "Farmers compete in production and business, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty"; apply information technology to production and business; mobilize resources to support members and farmers in developing production and business to increase income, improve life, and sustainably reduce poverty; protect the legitimate rights and interests of members and farmers;

Building a peasant class that is comprehensively developed, civilized, patriotic, united, autonomous, self-reliant, self-reliant, innovative, with the will and aspiration to build a prosperous and happy homeland and country, with advanced qualifications, education and production organization capacity, civilized lifestyle, social responsibility, respect for the law, and environmental protection; mobilizing farmers to actively participate in agricultural development, rural economy, and building advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas;

Raising awareness, capacity, qualifications and education of cadres, members and farmers; focusing on improving social knowledge and understanding, accessing new scientific and technological advances applied to production and business; building a rural workforce with industrial working style, management capacity, production and business development, transforming from small-scale agricultural production to production and business according to the value chain, promoting the application of advanced technology, high technology, digital transformation in production and business...
