Provincial Defense Zone Exercise Steering Committee deploys exercise work in 2023

On the morning of June 9, the Provincial Defense Zone Exercise Steering Committee (DPSC) held a conference to deploy the exercise in 2023. Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee deploys provincial defense area drills in 2023 — **Conference delegates.**

At the conference, Comrade Dinh Thi Lua, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, announced the Decision to establish the Provincial Steering Committee for the Military Exercise. The representative of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Military Exercise reported on the preparations for the Provincial Military Exercise, the schedule for the preparation of the exercise and some proposed contents; time for organizing the exercise; and assignment of tasks to the Steering Committee members.

Accordingly, the 2023 provincial KVPT exercise has the theme: "Transferring armed forces (LLVT) to combat readiness states (SSCD), transferring localities to defense states, organizing preparations and practicing defensive operations".

The exercise aims to: thoroughly grasp and concretize Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW dated September 22, 2008 of the Politburo on continuing to build provinces and centrally-run cities into strong defense zones in the new situation; promote the strength of the all-people national defense associated with the people's security posture. Combine economy with defense, defense with security in the provincial defense zones, contributing to firmly protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Improve the leadership and command capacity of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the advisory capacity and the level of coordination and organization of commanders and military agencies, police, departments, branches, and local organizations in building and operating the defense zones, contributing to defeating the plots and tricks of "Peaceful evolution" and riots and overthrow of hostile forces, and being ready to deal with an invasion war (if it occurs).

Through the exercise, it aims to raise awareness of cadres at all levels about local KVPT; at the same time, supplement and complete the province's combat plans and draw experience to direct the next exercises to achieve better results.

At the conference, delegates discussed the situation, tasks, and measures to organize and implement the exercise, and made some suggestions to remove difficulties and obstacles at the grassroots level... to better serve the exercise preparation process.

Concluding the conference, comrade Le Thi Thuy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Military Exercise Steering Committee, assigned specific tasks to the Steering Committee members. The Provincial Party Secretary requested the Steering Committee members to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the Directive of the Commander of Military Region 3, the Directive of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, closely coordinate with the Steering Committee and the director of the Military Region 3 exercise, focus on leading and directing the preparation and organization of the exercise as intended, achieving the set goals and requirements.

Based on the assigned tasks, the members of the Steering Committee in their positions proactively study and grasp the theoretical principles, flexibly and creatively apply them in leadership, direction, organization and implementation, promote the independence and military artistic thinking capacity of the staff at all levels in the province's defense operations. Strengthen the direction, inspection and supervision of tasks to ensure the progress of the exercise according to the set time. Ensure a good system of exercise documents and necessary conditions to serve the provincial defense exercise. The forces organize training and practice closely, ensuring that the provincial defense exercise, departments, branches and districts take place in absolute safety and great success.

According to the plan, along with the provincial KVPT exercise, Thanh Liem and Kim Bang districts and 4 departments and branches (Transportation, Health , Information - Communication, Industry and Trade) will participate and organize the exercise in 2023.
