Study author Dr Sophie Paddock, University of East Anglia, said: Climbing stairs increases longevity and reduces cardiovascular risk, making it a simple exercise you should do every day.
The results also showed that the more stairs you climb, the greater the benefits. So whether you're at work, at home, or anywhere else, take the stairs.
