To solve the problem of "practice and learning" associated with improving the quality of vocational training, vocationaleducation institutions in the province always encourage and motivate staff and lecturers to promote the spirit of innovation and creativity, actively research, invent, improve training equipment and apply it in teaching and learning practices, meeting the need to train human resources with high skills and expertise.
Recently, the model "Smart Teaching Support Equipment" by a group of authors from Viet Xo Vocational College No. 1 has won First Prize at the 2025 Provincial Self-made Training Equipment Competition.
The model includes a lifting/lowering device to hide TVs and smart boards; a lifting/lowering device to lift/lower smart practice panels; a lifting/lowering device to lift/lower smart computers; a lifting/lowering device to lift/lower smart diagrams and sequence boards; and a device to support searching for textbooks on smart shelves.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong, Deputy Head of the Department of Electricity, Viet Xo Vocational College No. 1, head of the author group, said: Based on the module "Programming to control intelligent automatic systems" in the vocational training program for Civil Electricity and Industrial Electricity, and at the same time, starting from the teaching practice at the school, lecturers have to use a combination of many devices such as TVs, practice panels, writing boards, drawing diagrams... to help students absorb lectures more effectively, we came up with the idea of researching and manufacturing a model of "Smart teaching equipment".
When applied in teaching practice, the model will be a powerful support tool for lecturers, helping lecturers easily control the lifting and lowering of equipment using only their phone or voice.
Helps save time, preserve equipment better, increase durability and long-term use, avoid damage and loss, ensure safety in teaching and learning.
In addition, applying the model in teaching will create conditions for students to access advanced and modern equipment systems, suitable for the reality and training program of the profession of Civil Electricity and Industrial Electricity.
Help students understand the functions and tasks of smart devices; practice installing and setting up central controllers, smart switches... at the same time, detect and fix errors encountered during the installation process.
Also one of the five devices that won the First Prize at this year's Provincial Self-made Training Equipment Competition, the model "Practice in constructing technical infrastructure for server rooms" by the group of authors from Vinh Phuc College of Engineering and Technology describes in detail the components of the server room construction in accordance with practice, with the ability to expand according to the development requirements of the current Information Technology training program.
Based on the requirements of recruiting human resources of enterprises that require meeting technical standards in the field of installation and construction of server rooms, at the same time, overcoming difficulties and shortages of equipment for vocational training, the author group of Vinh Phuc College of Engineering and Technology has researched and created a model of "Practice in constructing technical infrastructure of server rooms" to be able to apply in teaching many lessons, many different modules that other equipment cannot meet, contributing to reducing investment costs, purchasing equipment for schools, creating conditions for students to access modern teaching equipment, with high technical features, suitable for practice.
Teacher Trinh Hong Lam, one of the authors of the model "Practice in constructing technical infrastructure for server rooms" said: Through the model, we aim to equip students with knowledge about the structure, function and operating principles of the equipment in the model.
At the same time, guide students to practice assembling server room equipment, installing and managing transmission cable systems in the server room; designing and constructing server room monitoring systems and lightning protection, thereby helping students practice their ability to design and manage server rooms to ensure technical processes, contributing to improving thinking ability, detecting errors and proposing effective solutions.
To improve the quality of vocational training, vocational training institutions in the province always pay attention to and encourage staff, lecturers, and students to actively conduct scientific research, invent, and improve training equipment for application in teaching and learning practices.
Every 3 years, the Department of Education and Training organizes the Provincial Self-made Training Equipment Competition to create a playground for staff, lecturers, and students to promote their intelligence, creativity, passion for scientific research, and invention of training equipment.
Thereby, contributing to improving the professional qualifications, expertise, and vocational skills of the team of vocational education officials and teachers; at the same time, implementing well the motto of "practice, practice", helping students access new knowledge, skills and modern equipment and technology, contributing to the development of technical human resources to meet the increasing requirements of the 4.0 industrial revolution and international integration.
