Economic - Budget Committee reviews content presented at extraordinary session of Provincial People's Council

DTO - On the morning of April 25, the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council (PPC) held a meeting to review draft resolutions submitted by the Provincial People's Committee related to the economic - budget field. Mr. Kieu The Lam - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and leaders of relevant provincial departments and branches attended the meeting.

The Economic - Budget Committee organizes the review of draft Resolutions.

Regarding the draft Resolution on the development plan for the system of economic zones, industrial parks, industrial clusters, and traditional craft village industrial clusters in the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, after consideration, the Economic - Budget Committee basically agreed with the draft Resolution.

However, for the specific target by 2030, the development targets of the industry need to be reviewed and adjusted to ensure compliance with the direction in Directive No. 05 dated March 1, 2025 of the Prime Minister, which is economic growth of 8% or more in 2025 and double-digit growth in the period 2026 - 2030 and according to the growth scenario for the next period of the Document of the 12th Provincial Party Congress.

Currently, the political system's organizational structure is being reorganized, administrative units are being reorganized and local government organizations at two levels are being reorganized. Therefore, the Economic - Budget Committee proposes that the Provincial People's Council assign the Provincial People's Committee to study and adjust the plan to suit the functions, tasks and names of agencies and units after reorganizing and perfecting the organizational structure of Dong Thap province, and report to the Provincial People's Council at the nearest session.

Delegates give comments at the document review session

Regarding the draft Resolution on the industrial development plan in Dong Thap province's planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, through the comments of the delegates, the Economic - Budget Committee basically agreed with this draft Resolution.

After examining the draft Resolution stipulating the principles, scope, support levels and the use of support funds for the activities specified in Clause 2, Article 15 of Decree No. 112/2024/ND-CP of the Government in Dong Thap province, through examination, the Economic - Budget Committee proposed that the submitting agency adjust and supplement the name and content of the draft Resolution to make it easier to understand and more specific; regarding the support level, it should be regulated to adjust and supplement according to current documents of the Central and local governments.

Regarding the draft Resolution to abolish Resolution No. 296 dated December 7, 2019 of the Provincial People's Council regulating policies to support investment in the construction of technical infrastructure of industrial parks in Dong Thap province, after review, the Economic - Budget Committee agreed to abolish Resolution No. 296 to be consistent with the present.

Mr. To Hoang Khuong - Head of the Economic - Budget Committee spoke at the review session of the draft Resolutions.

Mr. To Hoang Khuong - Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council concluded that, through the results of the review, the Committee will coordinate with specialized agencies and the Provincial People's Committee Office to adjust and supplement the draft Resolutions, and at the same time record the opinions of the delegates to present at the upcoming 14th extraordinary meeting.
