According to VGC , many fans are reporting that the options to enable ray tracing and HDR have been removed from the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes on Steam.
Accordingly, in a discussion thread on the Resident Evil 3 Steam page, user 'DendeThe1st' claimed that after the update, the option to enable ray tracing was removed from the game. Shortly after, several other players confirmed this report, stating that the issue also affected the Resident Evil 2 remake.
The Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes have had the Ray Tracing feature removed.
Additionally, some players have reported that the HDR graphics in both games are not consistently responsive in certain situations. There is currently no way to revert to a previous version of the game, and Capcom has yet to acknowledge the issue.
These two popular PC remakes from Capcom have previously encountered issues. To fix this, the developers were forced to allow players to revert to the update.
However, there was also a welcome change for PC players: the controversial Denuvo DRM (digital content management system) software was removed from the Steam version of Resident Evil Village this week.
