Previously, at 3:30 p.m. on October 30, the Quang Ngai Department of Health received urgent information from Son Tay Medical Center about a pregnant woman in her 38th week of pregnancy who was admitted to the hospital in a state of severe eclampsia. The disease progressed rapidly, threatening the lives of both mother and fetus. The only option to save the patient was to perform an emergency cesarean section.

However, the route from Son Tay to the provincial center suffered from serious landslides in many places due to prolonged heavy rain. After assessing the situation, the provincial health sector coordinated with the police, army, traffic and local authorities to organize a special journey, covering nearly 80km, with patients being carried through the forest in hammocks to the Quang Ngai Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.

At 6:00 p.m. the same day, 4 hours after the signs of labor appeared, the mother was safely taken to the Quang Ngai Province Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital. Currently, the health of both mother and baby is stable and is being monitored and cared for by doctors.
