The penultimate round of the 2024-2025 Premier League season has ended with the joy of victory for big names like Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea.

The battle for the top 5 to secure a ticket to the Champions League is still hot. In addition to Liverpool, who have already secured a place in the championship, Arsenal are the next team as they are certain to finish the season in 2nd place.

A 1-0 victory over direct rival Newcastle United helped the Gunners gain 71 points and secure a ticket to the Champions League next season.

Man City also climbed to third place after a win over Bournemouth in the last match of the round. This result gave them 68 points and an advantage before entering the final round.

Despite having 66 points, Newcastle (+22) ranked 4th above Chelsea (+20) because of a better goal difference. Chelsea and Aston Villa (+9) ranked 5th and 6th respectively.

Nottingham Forest have not given up on the top five race as they beat West Ham 2-1 to move to 65 points.

Before entering the final round, all 5 teams still have a chance for the remaining 3 places in the Champions League next season. However, Man City is the team with the most advantage and Nottingham Forest is at the biggest disadvantage.

While Man City, Newcastle and Aston Villa all face much weaker opponents in the final round, Chelsea will face Nottingham. This match will decide the fate of the top 5 in the Premier League.

Man United and Tottenham are still stuck in 16th and 17th place in the rankings after round 37.
