According to Mr. Khiem, in the past 24 hours, the storm has maintained its intensity at level 12, gusting to level 15, and is forecast to maintain its intensity at level 12 before approaching the coast of Nghe An - northern Quang Tri.

At 7:00 a.m. on September 28, the center of storm Bualoi was on the sea area of Quang Tri - Da Nang, about 170km east of Hue, about 350km east southeast of northern Quang Tri .

"Currently, the eye of the storm is far from the mainland, and the direction of the storm's movement is starting to gradually shift north. The direction of the storm's movement has slowed down a bit but is still very fast, about 25-30km/h.

With the current speed of movement, around this evening, the storm will begin to directly affect the coast of Quang Tri - Nghe An. After 7 p.m. tonight, it is likely that the center of storm Bualoi will enter Nghe An - northern Quang Tri" - Mr. Khiem commented.

Mr. Khiem emphasized that this is a very strong storm with a very wide circulation, so the storm is capable of causing many impacts such as strong winds, big waves, rain, floods, flash floods, and landslides.

First of all, the storm caused strong winds and large waves over a wide area, from the North Central Coast to the North, with strong winds near the storm center from level 10-13, gusting to level 16, waves of 5-7m, extremely dangerous for ships.

For the mainland, very strong winds are also forecast, the area where the storm makes landfall can have winds as strong as level 10-12, gusting to level 14-15. With such strong winds, it is extremely dangerous for infrastructure, houses, and trees where the storm passes.

The storm is also at risk of causing widespread heavy rain in the North and North Central regions with rainfall up to 200-400mm, in some places over 600mm, so there is a very high risk of flooding on rivers in the North and North Central regions at level BĐ2-BĐ3, some rivers over BĐ3. The risk of flooding along rivers and downstream of rivers is very high, along with a very high risk of flash floods and landslides.

With strong winds and big waves at sea, people absolutely must not stay on boats or rafts for aquaculture along the coast. Secondly, from this evening to tonight, when the storm comes, there will be extremely dangerous strong winds, so people should not go out. In addition, it is necessary to be on guard against flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas," Mr. Khiem noted./.
