NDO - In early May 2025, the United Nations Day of Vesak 2025, hosted by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, will take place in Ho Chi Minh City. This major cultural event attracts thousands of domestic and international delegates, along with tens of thousands of tourists and Buddhists from all over the world. Therefore, ensuring fire safety throughout the festival is very important.

Throughout the Vesak 2025 Festival from May 6-8, 2025, there will be events such as: Buddhist cultural exhibition, Buddha relic worship, vegetarian food festival, flower lantern night to pray for world peace and gratitude to those who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and reunification... Each event always attracts a large number of people to participate.

Firefighting equipment will be available 24/7 throughout the 2025 Vesak Festival.

Therefore, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Force, Ho Chi Minh City Police are always present 24/24 hours at the scene. Regularly update relevant information throughout the preparation and organization of the Vesak Festival. Timely advise and recommend effective handling of issues related to fire and explosion.

According to a representative of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Ho Chi Minh City Police, the unit has carried out a general inspection, review, and development of fire prevention, rescue, and rescue plans; and is ready with each plan to evacuate people in crowded places.

The unit also coordinates with local agencies and departments to review and inspect fire prevention and fighting safety and rescue at safe shelters and safe medical facilities when requested.

Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police force patrols and controls safety on rivers near the Vesak 2025 venue.

Proactively arrange fire fighting equipment and officers and soldiers on duty to protect the venues where the Grand Ceremony takes place. At the same time, check fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue safety at accommodation facilities serving the Grand Ceremony.

Check fire safety at food processing facilities using multiple fire and heat sources.

The United Nations Day of Vesak 2025 takes place at the Vietnam Buddhist Academy in Le Minh Xuan commune, Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City.

The event attracted more than 1,500 international delegates from 90 countries and territories around the world.
