Construction of the project to expand La Son - Hoa Lien expressway from 2 to 4 lanes began

(PLVN) - On May 29, the Ministry of Construction coordinated with the People's Committee of Hue City and the People's Committee of Da Nang City to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the North-South Expressway expansion project in the East, La Son - Hoa Lien section.

The project has a route length of about 65km, starting at Km0, connecting to the end point of Cam Lo - La Son expressway (in La Son town, Phu Loc district, Hue city). The end point is at about Km66, Hoa Lien intersection connecting to the starting point of Hoa Lien - Tuy Loan route (in Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city).

The project is invested by the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board, designed as a level 60 and level 80 highway, with a design speed of Vtk = 60 - 80 km/h. The cross-section of the road surface is widened, and the works on the route ensure a scale of 4 complete lanes with a 22m base. The project has a total investment of about 3,010 billion VND, using state budget capital, and is expected to be completed in 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Hong Minh, Minister of Construction, said that the La Son - Hoa Lien expressway section being expanded will gradually complete the traffic infrastructure according to the plan, ensuring synchronization and modernity.

Thereby, improving exploitation capacity, minimizing traffic accidents to promote the role of the Eastern North-South Expressway in connecting localities, ensuring national defense and security in the region and the whole country...

To complete the project with quality assurance, on schedule and without waste or negativity, the Ministry of Construction requests the People's Committees of Hue City and Da Nang City to continue to focus and resolutely organize the implementation of site clearance work, focusing on resettlement work for the people.

La Son - Hoa Lien route currently has 2 lanes.

In addition, support the quick resolution of licensing procedures for mining construction material mines, arranging dumping sites for the project. Ensure security, order, organize convenient and safe traffic for people during the implementation process.

“Investors, supervision consultants, design consultants and construction contractors are required to promote the highest sense of responsibility, develop scientific construction plans and methods, suitable to actual conditions, ensure construction progress, quality, safety and environmental sanitation. Absolutely comply with the technical requirements of the project and relevant legal regulations, and prevent corruption, negativity and waste,” said Mr. Minh.
