Located in the Pho Hien National Special Relic Complex, Chuong Pagoda (literally Kim Chung Tu) is considered “Pho Hien’s most famous landscape”, the most famous pagoda in the ancient Hung Yen region. The pagoda was built in the 17th century, during the Le Trung Hung period, at the same time Pho Hien was prosperous and the second busiest commercial port after Thang Long.
The pagoda bears the mark of ancient architecture with the layout of “inner public, outer private”, including the gate, the front hall and the upper hall, along with a system of rare gilded wooden Buddha statues. In particular, the ancient bronze bell cast in the 18th century is the highlight symbolizing the name and the spirit of the pagoda.
Recognized as a national historical and cultural relic since 1992, Chuong Pagoda has long been a spiritual destination for Hung Yen people and tourists from everywhere, especially during festivals, full moon days or Buddha's birthday.

The enshrinement of Buddha’s relics at Chuong Pagoda not only has profound spiritual significance but also contributes to honoring the cultural and spiritual values of Buddhism in modern life. At the same time, the event also plays a role in connecting the community, preserving traditional beliefs, and promoting the image of Hung Yen spiritual tourism to domestic and international friends.
To serve the large-scale event well, the Organizing Committee of the Relics Ceremony closely coordinated with functional forces, local authorities and thousands of volunteers to ensure security and order, environmental sanitation, traffic flow and civilized religious guidance. Thanks to that, all worship activities on May 28-29 took place smoothly, safely and orderly.
The event of enshrining the Buddha's relics at Chuong Pagoda is not only an opportunity for Hung Yen people and tourists from all over to show their respect, but also a vivid demonstration of the spiritual appeal of Pho Hien land, where culture, history, beliefs and the peaceful spirit of the Vietnamese people crystallize.
This is also an important mark affirming the increasingly important role of Hung Yen province on the national spiritual cultural tourism map, contributing to spreading the image of a land of talented people, rich in identity and humanity.
