Hung Yen Provincial Steering Committee meets to discuss solutions to promote progress of key projects in the 2021-2025 period

(PLVN) - On May 30, at the headquarters of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for Key Projects for the 2021-2025 period held a meeting to assess the implementation of key projects in the province. Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee chaired the meeting.

Attending the meeting were Mr. Tran Quoc Toan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of districts, towns and cities.

At the meeting, delegates listened to reports and discussed the implementation status of key projects according to Notice No. 18-TB/BCĐ dated April 18, 2025 of the Steering Committee. After strong direction at the previous meeting, many key projects have had positive changes, especially in site clearance (GPMB).

Typically, the investment project to build Ring Road 4, Hanoi Capital Region is being actively implemented by districts in land acquisition, especially for residential land and business land. The Tan Phuc - Vong Phan road project (assigned to DT.378) has completed land acquisition for agricultural land, public land and grave relocation; resettlement areas are being promoted to allocate land to people.

Some new projects such as the route connecting cultural heritage, tourism and economic development along the Red River, although the contractor selection has not been completed, have already cleared more than 30 hectares. In particular, the Lao Cai - Hanoi - Hai Phong railway project, although newly added to the list of key projects according to Decision No. 04-QD/BCĐ dated May 16, 2025, has recorded efforts in propaganda, mobilization and issuance of clearance decisions in Van Lam and My Hao.

In addition, the steering committee also frankly pointed out some projects that are behind schedule, especially projects in industrial parks and clusters. Difficulties and obstacles in site clearance, lack of construction materials and resettlement arrangements are the "bottlenecks" that delegates focused on analyzing and dissecting.

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Nghia requested that sectors and localities must take more drastic and synchronous actions in implementing site clearance for key projects. He emphasized the role and responsibility of each member of the steering committee in inspecting, supervising and urging project progress according to the assigned areas.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested all levels and sectors to seriously grasp the directives of the steering committee, concretize them into action programs and effective implementation solutions. In particular, priority is given to reviewing, arranging and handing over land acquisition dossiers to commune and ward level units, serving the implementation after the merger of administrative units. At the same time, specific tasks are assigned to departments and sectors in site clearance, resettlement arrangements, as well as proactively coordinating to handle the shortage of construction materials, an important factor affecting the progress of key projects in the province.

This meeting is an important review step, demonstrating high political determination in implementing key projects, contributing to creating breakthroughs in infrastructure and socio-economic development in the 2021-2025 period.
