Red alert for the entire hospital to rescue 7 people in a serious traffic accident

Seven people from two families in Quang Ngai hired a car to take them to Da Nang for medical examination when they unfortunately got into a serious accident. Quang Nam General Hospital activated the red alert for the entire hospital to rescue the victims after receiving them.

On the morning of October 12, speaking with Thanh Nien reporter, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Van Khoa, Deputy Director in charge of Quang Nam General Hospital (located in Tam Ky Ward, Da Nang City), confirmed that the unit had activated the red alert for the entire hospital to provide emergency care for 7 patients who had suffered serious traffic accidents after receiving them early this morning.

According to information from Quang Nam General Hospital, at around 1 a.m. this morning, October 12, the hospital's Emergency Department received 7 victims with multiple injuries from a traffic accident.

The 7 victims include: D.TAN (11 months old), D.BR (18 months old), D.YR (6 years old), D.VP (33 years old), HB (35 years old), D.D.D (37 years old) and D.TT (40 years old, all from Son Ha commune, Quang Ngai province).

Immediately after receiving the victims, the hospital activated the red alert to provide timely emergency treatment.

According to Mr. Khoa, among the 7 patients admitted to the emergency room, N. suffered from severe closed head trauma and closed chest and abdominal trauma. The patient has now completed surgery and is being monitored.

The remaining patients suffered multiple injuries. After examination and surgery, they were basically stable and are being actively monitored at the hospital.

The victims are currently receiving intensive care at the hospital.

Mr. Khoa said that after receiving the information, this morning, Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Director of the Da Nang City Department of Health , called to inquire about the health of the patients and at the same time directed the hospital to do its best to treat the patients.

The Deputy Director in charge of Quang Nam General Hospital said that, according to initial information, all 7 patients were members of 2 families in Quang Ngai province. In the early morning of October 12, they rented a car to go from Quang Ngai to Da Nang for medical examination, but when they reached Vo Chi Cong street, passing through the old Tam Tien commune (now Tam Anh commune, Da Nang city), the car carrying these 7 people suddenly collided with a tractor trailer.
